1. Launch ProteMac Meter. The main window opens and displays the Applications List .
2. Click the Full Traffic button to display the Application Graphic window, then click the Period button.
3. Specify the desired start date/time and end date/time via the calendars and clocks displayed on the dialog, then click the Apply button.
4. Close the Application Graphic window.
Once you have specified the time period to monitor, when the start date/time arrives, ProteMac Meter will 'wake up' and begin monitoring all network connections.
How can I view the addition information about an application?
1. Select the application you want to view additional information about, then click the Additional Info button. Meter displays the Additional Info panel.
2. To close the Additional Info panel, click the Additional Info button again.
Can I view TCP, UDP or Full Traffic Info for an Application?
Yes. you can. Select the desired application in the Application List, then click the TCP Traffic, UDP Traffic or Full Traffic button. The Application Graphic window opens and displays the specified information.
What is the Connections List?
ProteMac Meter's Connection List provides detailed information about each connection that occurs for the selected application during the specified monitoring period.
How can I view the Connections List?
Click the arrow icon in the lower left hand corner of the Application Graphic window. The Connections List displays below the Application Graphic window. To close the Connections List click the arrow icon again.
How long the database is stored on my computer?
ProteMac Meter lets you specify how long you want data to be stored in its database. You may specify a storage period of 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 5 months, 10 months or 12 months.
Open ProteMac Meter and choose Preferences->Database. Here you can set up the store time.
