Installation
1. Download ProteMac KeyBag from www.protemac.com.
2. Run protemac-keybag.dmg.
3. Launch install in appeared window.
4. Follow the directions.
That’s it! KeyBag has been installed on your computer.
Settings
You can change some settings of KeyBag to simplify keystrokes monitoring process. To do this, launch the program. From KeyBag menu on the top of the screen select Preferences… .
1. On General tab you can set time for database cleanup.
2. On Warnings tab you can manage the list of words of which typing KeyBag will inform you. Enter the word into the field located below the list and press + button to add this word. To remove a word from Warnings list select it and then click on – button.
3. To get information about entering words from Warning list on your email use Email Alerts tab. To allow the application send you reports check on Send Screenshots to Email on Warnings and fill in the fields below.
4. To apply new settings click Ok.
KeyBag usage
1. KeyBag enables watching through keystroke activity of different users that have the access to the computer. In User Name section select user from the drop-down list.
You can view keystrokes that were entered in definite time period. To do this press Time range icon located in the top of KeyBag. In appeared window set start and end date and time in appropriate sections. Click Ok to apply these settings or Cancel to annul them.
2. On Keystrokes tab every text entered in different programs is displayed. To view what was typed in any definite application you should click on the button located next to Applications menu and select it from the list. You may also choose All Applications to watch all keystrokes that were entered.
KeyBag displays list of applications, time of entering, name of window and preview of the text. Selecting any position you may get this information. In the field located below you may watch through the whole typed text.
To display statistics click on Activity Details button. In appeared side bar you may watch through the information about stroke length and typing speed.
3. To view statistic report in graphical chart click on Application button. On Application tab display the name of applications and total strokes length indices.
Export of keystroke statistics
KeyBag enables export the data into several formats giving you an ability to share this information. Click on Export icon located in the top of the main window. In appeared Selection of exported table fields window choose the information that you would like to export and check on appropriate boxes. Click on Next button and select output format. You can save statistics in HTML, CSV and Text formats, then click on Finish. In window that will open up enter the name of the file and choose the location or create new folder for it. Press Save button to save new file or Cancel to abolish saving.
Uninstalling
If you have decided to remove KeyBag from your computer use ONLY KeyBag built-in uninstaller. Find KeyBag uninstall.dmg file and follow the instructions. Then just reboot your computer.
